An industrial injection tool is an assembly of precision plates and moving parts:
The Mold Base: Pre-fabricated steel plates that house the custom cavities, cores, and internal mechanisms.
Cavity (A-Side): The stationary half of the tool that forms the external cosmetic surface of the part.
Core (B-Side): The moving half of the tool that forms the internal structural features (ribs, bosses) and contains the ejection mechanism.
The Feed System: The pathway for the plastic. It consists of the sprue (main entry), runners (distribution channels), and gates (the narrow entry points into the actual part cavity).
Interlocking Slides/Lifters: Mechanical moving pieces within the tool used to create "undercuts" (holes, windows, or threads that run perpendicular to the mold opening direction).
